Endre Pap je rođen 26.02.1947. u Mali Idjoš, Srbija.

Član Evropske akademije nauka (Belgija) od 2004. godine, Član Vojvodjanske akademije nauka i umetnosti od 2004. godine, redovni profesor univerziteta Singidunum, a sada je profesor emeritus  (a bio je dugogodišnji redovni profesor Prirodno-matematičkog fakulteta u Novom Sadu, kao i Obuda univerziteta u Budimpešti). Od 1. novembra 2019. godine do avgusta 2020. godine je bio rektor univerziteta Singidunum. Za svoj naučni rad dobio je oktobarsku nagradu grada Novog Sada za 2003. godinu. Izabran kao Fellow of Asia-Pacific Artificial Intelligence Association, aaia-ai.org.

Doprineo je podizanju kvaliteta visokog obrazovanja, pošto je bio član Komisije za akreditaciju i proveru kvaliteta Srbije od 2006. godine do 2014. godine i njen predsednik od 2013. godine (kada je Komisija postala stalni član ENQA-e). Bio je član Nacionalnog saveta za visoko obrazovanje Srbije. 

Profesor Endre Pap je kao redovni profesor na univerzitetu Singidunum držao predavanja na master studijama iz predmeta Metodologija naučnih istraživanja, Primenjena algebra a na doktorskim studijama iz predmeta Kvantitativne metode za naučna istraživanja,  Studijsko istraživački rad na doktorskim studijama, Teorija odlučivanja, Metode ekonometrije.  Na Prirodno-matematičkom fakultetu u Novom Sadu, je bio angažovan na osnovnim, magistarskim i doktorskim studijama, gde je predavao Analizu 1 i Analizu 2 (Informatika), Teoriju Odlučivanja na smeru Matematika Finansija i Metoda Odlučivanja na Poslovnoj Informatici, a uveo je i predavao predmete Parcijalne diferencijalne jednačine i Teoriju optimizacije. Na Obuda univerzitetu je držao predavanja na doktorskim studijama iz predmeta Operatori agregacije.

Oblasti istraživanja Prof. Endre Papa su vezana za operatore agregacije (trougaone norme, kopule), veštačku inteligenciju, fazi sisteme, teoriju odlučivanja, funkcionalnu analizu, parcijalne diferencijalne jednačine. On se nalazi na Stanfordovoj listi top 2% vrhunskih naučnika u svetu u svim oblastima u obe verzije liste, za ukupan doprinos u toku karijere kao i za prošlu godinu (2021).

 Ima 400 objavljenih naučnih radova i 24 knjige: 5 istaknutih naučnih monografija objavljenih od strane međunarodnih izdavača (M11), 2 knjige  međunarodnog značaja (M12), 3 istaknute naučne monografije nacionalnog značaja (M41), 14 udžbenika, 37 preglednih radova u tematskim zbornicima radova, monografije (M13), 12 leksičkih jedinice u naučnoj publikaciji vodećeg međunarodnog značaji (M15), 1 poglavlje u knjizi (M45), 30 radova u vrhunskim međunarodnim časopisima (M21), 25 radova u istaknutom međunarodnim časopisima (M22), 38 radova u časopisima međunarodnog značaja (M23), 14 plenarnih predavanja  na skupovima po pozivu od međunarodnog značaja štampano u celini (M31), 147 radova saopštenih na skupovima od međunarodnog značaja štampano u celini (M33), 95 radova u vodećim časopisima nacionalnog značaja (M24), 7 radova saopštenih na skupovima nacionalnog značaja štampano u celini (R63).  

Indeks naučne kompetencije preko 1200. Ima preko 17000 citata (h-indeks 50). 

Bio je gostujući profesor u inostranstvu: Lincu (Johan Kepler univerzitet), Rimu (La Sapienza), Parizu (Sorbona), Napulju (Federico II), Tuluzu (Universite Paul Sabatier), Cirihu (ETH), Folinju, Potenci, Trstu, Pekingu. Održao je 50 predavanja na drugim univerzitetima. Saradnik je na Encyclopaedia of Mathematics, Kluwer (sada Springer).  Član je uredništva naučnih časopisa: Fuzzy Sets and Systems (Elsevier, urednik oblasti); Soft Computing (Springer, urednik oblasti) YUJOR; Tatra Mountains Math. Publ.; Archiv of Oncology; Acta Polytechnica Budapest, Panoeconomicus, The Journal of Nonlinear Science and its Application, Frontiers in Artificial Intelligence. Recenzent je za referativne časopise Mathematical Reviews, Zentralblatt fur Mathematics, i nekih  50 medjunarodnih časopisa. 

Bio je nosilac naučnih projekata kod Ministarstva prosvete, nauke i tehnološkog razvoja Srbije, bilatelarnih projekata sa Francuskom i Slovačkom, kao i projekata kod Pokrajinskog sekretarijata za nauku Vojvodine. Sada je nosilac projekta iz veštačke inteligencije ATLAS finansiran od strane Fonda za nauku Srbije.  Angažovan je kao strani ekspert za saradnju za naučno istraživanje sa Changchun Normal univerzitetom u Kini. Jedan je od začetnika u svetu teorije neaditivnih mera i odgovarajućih integrala. Medju prvim medjunarodnim monografijama posvećenoj ovoj oblasti je njegova knjiga Null-Additive Set Functions, Kluwer (sada Springer), Dordrecht, 1995, te veliki broj objavljenih naučnih radova iz ove oblasti  u renomiranim medjunarodnim časopisima. Urednik je monografije Handbook of Measure Theory I, II, Elsevier, 2002, 1636 strana. 

Član je American Mathematical Society (AMS) i Austrijskog društva matematičara.
