BA in English Studies is a philological study programme at the University of Singidunum in Belgrade, which arose as a response to the growing demands of the modern-day student, as well as those in the domestic and foreign job market. The programme stands out for being accredited in both the Serbian and English language.
The objective of the undergraduate English Study Programme is to enable students to, in addition to gaining scientific, technical, and theoretical-methodological knowledge, acquire practical knowledge and skills. Furthermore, it prepares students for independent work in the fields of English language teaching, translation, and other activities that require a profound understanding of the English language and culture. Moreover, the programme’s aims include capacitating students to further their education at the level of graduate academic studies, as well as for additional specialisation.
Upon completing the study programme, students receive a diploma supplement in two languages: Serbian and English. Graduated students will be able to apply their acquired theoretical and practical knowledge to the fields of English language teaching,translation (literary, technical/specialised, written, interpretation-simultaneous and consecutive), foreign correspondence, and other fields that demonstrate a need for intercultural communication in the English language.
Throughout their studies, students will collaborate directly with their course professors and assistants, test their knowledge practically, have the opportunity to develop their creativity,and foster critical thinking and teamwork.Through interactive lessons and an authentic, humanistic approach, English language studies will enable students to cultivate their linguistic skills and the necessary competences to apply practically to the wide range of activities this study program qualifies them for.

Upon graduation from the study programme, graduated students may find employment as the following:
- Instructor/teacher of the English language in preschools and private language schools,
- Instructor/teacher of the English language in primary/secondary schools,
- Instructor/teacher of the English language in a language institute,
- Literary translator,
- Specialised translator (economics, law, medicine, tourism and hotel management, IT, etc.),
- Simultaneous interpreter
- Consecutive interpreter
- Correspondent (for news agencies)
- Linguistic adviser/editor for foreign languages
And that’s not all! The Anglistics programme enables the acquisition/perfection of yet another foreign language, which will make you more competitive in every arena of employment. Throughout the entirety of your studies, students will have the opportunity to attend any of the elective courses:

- Greek language.
Tuition fee for this study program in English is 3300 € for 60 ECTS, paid in RSD.
All course materials are included in the tuition fee.
Tuition covers all textbooks.
The entrance exam for the Anglistics study programme consists of:
- Writing a short essay on a selected topic in English,
- A conversation in English on a particular subject.
Upon filling in the registration online, the candidate will be informed electronically of the approximate topics they should be prepared to discuss for the entrance exam.
Upon successfully completing their studies, students gain the academic title of
