I semestar

Establishing the epistemological criteria of scientific knowledge of business systems; studying logical and technical research methods and manners science utilizes; taking an attitude towards all the issues of scientific strategy; developing and improving the analytical frame, within which the research is done, and finding the most efficient tools for collecting and selecting the original business systems data.

The aim of the course is to enable students to acquire basic knowledge on contemporary trends in engineering, as well as developing key competencies and skills in terms of understanding the systemic approach in design, implementation and exploitation of complex systems, products or objects. The students should be able to design products as a system, apply complex system tools and techniques in technical processes and managing processes that coordinate project realization.

The students should acquire the basic knowledge on business systems and database and OLTP solution design.

The students should acquire theoretical and practical knowledge in the domain of design and implementation of standardized management systems. They should master the methodology of integrating various management systems into the main management system of an organization. They should also be able to use integrated management systems for achieving key performances of an organization and sustainable success.

This course aims to provide students with knowledge that would enable them to perceive human resources as the basis for achieving organizational success in knowledge economy, and human resource management as a strategic partner in an organization, which supports business strategy and achievement of business goals of an organization with all its activities. The students should become fully conversant with the concept and application of strategic human resource management, as well as methods and techniques of strategic human resources management that contribute to making timely and adequate managerial decisions.

The aim of the course is to enable students to gain theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the area of engineering design. They should master the methodology of integrating various systems and enabling candidates to use integrated systems to achieve key performances of an organization and sustainable development and success.

II semestar

The aim of the course is to make the students conversant with the concept, methodology and tools of TQM. Special emphasis is placed on making students conversant with the fundamental concept and principles of excellence model and standardized management systems.

The students should learn more about the theory and practice of staff recruitment and development in modern business systems. The course covers strategic function of staff recruitment and development, learning concepts, motivation and performances, as well as five steps towards development of effective training programs in organizations.

The students should acquire the basic knowledge on innovations. Special attention is devoted to enabling students to develop innovative strategies, recognize models and risks in innovation process. This should enable students to develop skills and knowledge in innovation management to achieve and maintain competitive advantage.

The course aims to enable students to implement basic, theoretical-methodological, scientific-technical, and technical-applicative knowledge on solving specific problems within the selected engineering management field. While preparing this research paper, the student is concerned with the problem individually, its examination, structure and complexity, thus reaching conclusions about possible ways of problem solving and making the right decisions of strategically- tactical and operational character. By examining the literature, the students are becoming familiar with the methods intended for the practical solutions of similar tasks and problems.

The aim of this thesis preparation and defense is that a student, by examining the practical research-oriented topic and its defense, demonstrates a creative and independent approach to scientific research methods implementation in problem-solving, decision-making process used in an engineering management organization whether manufacturing or any other.

  • The candidate takes six exams. The first project assignment integrates four courses from the first semester, whereas the second one combines two courses from the second semester.
  • During the course of studies, the candidates formulate their master’s thesis. Project assignments completed in the first and second semester can be integrated into the final master’s thesis.
